WakeMed Soccer
WakeMed Soccer Park is a soccer-specific stadium located in Cary, North Carolina. The stadium is home to the North Carolina FC of the United Soccer League and the North Carolina Courage of the National Women’s Soccer League. The park also hosts a variety of other events, including concerts, festivals, and high school and college soccer games.
The stadium opened in 2002 and has a capacity of 10,000 people. The facility was originally built for the Raleigh Flyers of the now-defunct A-League. In 2007, the stadium underwent a $3 million expansion that added seating on all four sides of the field.
In 2017, WakeMed Soccer Park was named as one of 14 venues that would host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This will be the first time that North Carolina has hosted matches during a FIFA World Cup.

SAS Championship
The SAS Championship is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions. It is played annually in October at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina. The tournament was founded in 2001 as the SAS Carolina Classic and was originally played at the Pinehurst Resort. In 2003, the tournament was moved to its current location and renamed the SAS Championship. Since its inception, the SAS Championship has been one of the most popular events on the PGA Tour Champions schedule. The field is typically made up of major champions and Ryder Cup captains, as well as many of the top players from around the world. The tournament features a $1.8 million purse, with a first-place prize of $360,000.
The SAS Championship is also notable for its charities. The tournament has raised more than $17 million for local and national charities since 2001.
